'Another wine from old vines, 'this is not one of our usual big Auslesen of 120 or 130 Oechsle,' explains Lingenfelder. 'This is lighter, more elegant, fresher and less demanding than usual. There was some botrytis, but not the sort we usually look for in sweet Auslese. We intended the wine to be dry Auslese, a category where we don't want to go too high in alcohol, but it just got stuck.' White peach, grapefruit and pineapple in the nose. Delightfully creamy and satiny in the mouth. Soft, dreamy and subtle in its gentle acids and citrus cream, fresh and dried peach, toasted almond and mocha finishing flavors.'
