Shipping PolicyThe Wine Center Freight
We ship throughout the USA, where legal, via your choice of ground Freight, or 2nd day air freight. We have
averaged out the cost to all locations to one single figure as shown below, which the site will add according to your
selection. Additionally, we offer a lower cost if you order 6 bottles or less.
1-6 bottles
ground freight $20
2nd day air $70
1 case of 12 bottles
ground freight $28 per case
2nd day air $86 per case
Please note, the safe arrival of your valuable wine is our first priority.
1. All deliveries must be signed for by an adult or no wine will be left. This is to ensure your wine is delivered
safely, and does not get into the hands of minors. Please, if you are not available at certain times, e mail us and we'll
make the necessary freight arrangements. Also please leave us your daytime telephone number with the order so the freight
company can contact you directly to make arrangements.
2. During times of intense heat or cold, typically December through February, and June and July, we reserve the right
to decide not to ship if the weather is inclement. In these cases we will inform you and store your wine in our temperature
controlled warehouse until suitable weather. There is no charge for this. Please be aware, during these times the wine
has to travel from us in Illinois to you. Although the weather may be mild where you are, the wine may pass through very
different weather zones on its trip, please be patient. 2nd day air freight avoids this problem, customers wishing to
pay the extra freight can generally have their wine shipped at any time.
